Description:
This seminar brings a recognized national expert in sepsis to provide updates in the national guidelines for the diagnosis and management of sepsis and septic shock. Information covered includes updated national guidelines, new treatments and therapies, and review of therapies that have been proven NOT to be beneficial.

• Demonstrate the ability to recognize and correctly diagnose patients presenting with sepsis and septic shock
• Initiate initial management of patients with sepsis and septic shock in accordance with national guidelines (early goal directed therapy)
