Live Virtual Course
Needs Assessment:
The purpose of this conference is to update providers on the new advances in HIV care and prevention. New treatments have been instituted in the last year. These findings have been presented in research conferences and published in the literature in the last year. They have been incorporated into national guidelines. Providers need to know of the increasing prevalence of sexually transmitted infections, including Mpox in the region and their treatment.
Course Objectives:
Identify newly approved antiviral therapies and future therapies that will improve outcomes for individuals with HIV and for HIV prevention.
Identify how infections such as STIs and Mpox impact those living with or at risk for HIV and updated treatments strategies.
Understand how social determinants of health/mental health and substance use impact the care of individuals living with HIV.
