Variety of professional boundaries and medical ethics courses
Needs Assessment:
All healthcare professionals are held to ethical standards and are mandated to stay within ethical standards. These activities are offered and presented to prevent ethical transgressions, often arranged through risk management, to fulfill CME requirements on ethics or related risk management for insurance purposes.
These proactive education courses assist physicians in maintaining professionalism and to reinforce ethical conduct.
Gap(s): The majority of practitioners view themselves as ethical when in practice they frequently lack understanding and knowledge about professional boundaries as they are currently defined by regulatory boards.
Best practices: Have established policy and protocol to maintain professional boundaries in clinical settings.

Course Objectives:
Objectives:
* Define professional boundaries and ethics within the workplace
* Identify and reduce personal and organizational risk factors for potential ethical issues
* Develop and implement strategies to elevate professionalism within an organization through a team-oriented accountability process
* Become aware of the early warning signs indicative of ethical dilemmas and boundary problems in colleagues and implement corrective action
* Create and implement a tiered protection plan to maintain appropriate boundaries
