Needs Assessment

GAP
Pediatricians are unaware of concrete tools to help parents quit smoking, and lack knowledge about e-cigarette recommendations.

•    Pediatricians state they need training on how to advise parents to quit
•    Pediatricians are unsure what to tell parents about e-cigarette use around children
•    Perception that pediatricians cannot intervene when parents smoke

BRIEF SUMMARY

The presentation also reviews the latest American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations around e-cigarettes.

OBJECTIVE
