Activity Name:	44th Annual UCLA Family Medicine Refresher Course
Needs Assessment:	The goal of this refresher course is to provide family physicians and other primary care providers with state-of-the-art educational experiences and accepted approaches to clinical problem-solving in both office and hospital settings. The latest clinical developments of interest to family physicians Practical skills workshops Mini-courses providing in-depth review of selected relevant topics Expanded syllabus for quick reference in your clinical practice Speakers with proven ability to present relevant content useful in the family medicine context
Course Objectives:	At the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to: Apply current diagnosis and management principles pertaining to common problems seen in a family medicine setting, including hypertension, diabetes, depression, rheumatologic diseases, obesity, COPD, coronary heart disease, child abuse, cancer screening, and menopause Recognize the impact of, and integrate advances in, specialty areas as they relate to the practice of family medicine Formulate management plans for disorders frequently seen in family practice, based on the latest accepted methodologies
