Hypertension is a tremendously common diagnosis that plays a large role in predicting cardiovascular risk. Timely and accurate diagnosis is important in preventing uncontrolled hypertension. Dr. Stanley Franklin discusses white-coat and masked hypertension as well as barriers to diagnosis to help reduce the rate of poor outcomes in these patients.
