Description:	Course Details
Needs Assessment:	This course is designed for physicians in primary care. Pharmacists, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners and other health care team members working in the primary care setting will also benefit greatly from attending this conference. AAFP Credit This Live activity, UC Davis Health Neurology Update 2019, with a beginning date of 10/21/2019, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 8.25 Prescribed credit(s) by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Course Objectives:	LEARNING OBJECTIVES Develop a systematic approach for the evaluation of both acute mental status change and common dementia syndromes. Review the new and up-to-date paradigm for management of acute ischemic stroke. Develop hands-on skills through simulation training focusing on the neurological exam and the evaluation of an acute stroke presentation. Further your personal neurological knowledge by asking the experts questions about neurological care in the primary care setting. Describe the key factors that contribute to physician burnout and define strategies towards burnout solutions. Review the current evaluation and management strategies for common sleep disorders. Discuss the roles of neuroimaging and electrodiagnostics in the management of common neurologic diseases.
