Target Audience
This course is designed for anyone who wishes to learn more about diagnosis and treating patients with lower extremity ulcers. This includes students, medical assistants, nursing staff, and physicians.

GAP
The two components of the limb salvage education module are designed to train those who care for patients with lower extremity wounds and allow them to quickly understand if patients need a procedure to improve blood flow in order to heal these wounds. The ankle brachial index course provides a comprehensive overview of how the ABI test is done, billing and wave form analysis.  The WIfI course allows for incorporation of the ABI with the physical exam to help providers understand the potential for wound healing and if improvement in blood flow is needed. This information allows patients to then understand their risk of limb loss at the first visit.

Goal:
ABI - Participants will be able to determine if a lower extremity wound is related to decreased blood flow and recommend the next steps in management.
